WASHINGTON – The John Thompson III Foundation will host a Book Drive when the Georgetown University men's basketball team hosts American University at Verizon Center on Saturday, Dec. 17 at noon. Fans are encouraged to bring children's books to the game as the JTIII Foundation holds its Fifth Annual holiday drive.

This year's book drive will aid Septima Clark Public Charter School in their effort to build a school library. The first all boys public charter school in Washington, D.C., the school's mission is to help boys master advanced academic skills and gain knowledge to compete, achieve, and contribute in academic institutions of distinction.

Collection bins will be located at all entrances to Verizon Center.

The mission of the John Thompson III Foundation is to foster recently established non-profits that serve at-risk children and families. Its primary focus is on education and healthcare for families.
