Washington, DC - Hoop Magic's P Shon Howard is one of my favorite players of the Nike Pro City Summer Games but even he was powerless against the onslaught of Virginia Tech's Jeff Allen, Georgetown's Jason Clark, GW's Lassan Kromah, and Southern Illinois Ernest Watson.
Team Takeover did just that as they built a comfortable 44-20 halftime lead and cruised to 76-51 victory. Jason Clark, Jeff Allen, and Lassan Kromah established themselves early and often and Hoop Magic had no answer defensively.
P' Shon Howard has all the tools and should be an elite guard in the ACC for years to come. His ball handling, court awareness, is outstanding and he can stroke the jump from beyond the arc. Jason Clark dominated and was unstoppable driving to the lane. The Hoyas will be solid at the guard position next year with him and Wright putting pressure on defenses. Team Takeover is the most impressive team I've seen thus far in the tournament with their complements of weapons and athleticism. The playoffs begin in earnest this coming weekend. |
