RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 24, 2012 – For the second consecutive week and the fourth time overall this season, James Madison senior diver Nicole Jotso (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern) was named the Colonial Athletic Association Diver of the Week on Tuesday. This is the sixth time this season a JMU diver has garnered the award. Jotso finished first in both diving events last Friday, helping JMU battle past previously undefeated Rutgers, 161-139, at Savage Natatorium. The Suffern, N.Y. native recorded a career-best mark of 317.92 to dominate the field on the 1-meter board while adding a 301.88 on the 3-meter board. This season, the reigning CAA champion on the 3-meter board has finished third or better in all but three events this season. She’s finished first on the 1-meter board four times and three times on the 3-meter. UNCW’s Ashley Danner shared the conference honors with Jotso this week. She was named the CAA Swimmer of the Week.
