NEW PHONE NUMBER CREATED FOR TIGER TICKETS

 TOWSON, Md. – In order to provide better service to all fans buying tickets to athletics events at Towson University, a new toll-free phone number has been created.

 All inquiries about tickets can be answered by dialing 1-855-TU-TIGER (1-855-888-4437).

 Tickets for the Tigers’ six ticketed sports (football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse and gymnastics) can be purchased by calling the toll-free number.

 Season tickets for the 2011 Tigers’ six-game football home schedule are now on sale through the ticket office. There are a variety of ticket packages available to purchase by calling 1-855-TU-TIGER. These packages include tickets for adults, youth (ages 2-12), faculty/staff and seniors (ages 65 and above). The special season ticket sections at midfield are located in sections 111 and 211. These locations require a donation to the Tiger Club. Other packages offered include the Business Backs the Tigers plan (minimum of four (4) season tickets for businesses), Family plan (two (2) adults, two (2) youths and two (2) Junior Tigers memberships) and Group plan (minimum of 10 season tickets).

 Group and individual tickets may also be purchased by dialing the toll-free number. Youth sport teams, businesses, or other community groups looking to bring 10 or more people to the game qualify for special ticket pricing and experience packages where fans can celebrate birthdays, perform during halftime and help lead the team out on the field as part of the tunnel. These packages are limited so we recommend acting quickly.

 The Tigers will be playing one of the most attractive home schedules in their history this season. Of the Tigers’ six home games, five of them will be played at night in Johnny Unitas® Stadium. Starting on Sept. 3, the Tigers will host Morgan State (Sept. 3), Villanova (Sept. 10), Colgate (Sept. 24), Richmond (Oct. 8), Delaware (Oct. 29) and New Hampshire (Nov. 12).

Tigers to Raise Awareness about Sexual Assault

 TOWSON, Md. – Members of the Towson University Department of Athletics will participate in the “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event to take place on campus on Wednesday, April 20 at noon. The “Walk a Mile” event invites men to walk a mile in a pair of women’s shoes to raise awareness about sexualized violence to women.

Tomko Leads UNC Wilmington To Comeback Win, 95-93

TOWSON, Md. – Senior guard Chad Tomko scored 11 of his team high 31 points in the final 1:23 of overtime as UNC Wilmington (12-14, 6-9) overcame a 22-point second half deficit to pull out a dramatic 95-93 overtime Colonial Athletic Association victory over Towson University (4-21, 0-15) at the Towson Center on Saturday afternoon.
