SE Washington DC- It was "Old School Tuesday" in the gates of the Barry Farms Coliseum as two competitive games of basketball that featured the BF Crazies vs the Young Guns and the headliner that showcased Rare Essence against the HOBO team.

SE Washington, DC -  It was a great week of basketball in the gates this week with the weather absolutely perfect.  The 3rd Eye Mob, undefeated coming into this game, were without the services of 2007 Goodman League MVP Terence Whiters and Andray Blatche. The questions concerning how well 3rd Eye would perform in the face of adversity would become clear.

              This past weekend was filled with exciting sports events.  The Williams’ sisters (Venus and Serena) dominated Wimbledon by winning doubles and older sister Venus defeated Serena in the Finals.  Arena Football playoffs are in full till and Rafael Nadal defeated Roger Federer in dramatic fashion – an instant classic.  Alex Rodriguez and Madonna alleged relationship is not a sports story.  Lewis Hamilton, a Formula One driver who won the Foster’s British Grand Prix in Silverstone this past weekend did not make major headlines but is making a name for himself in his sport.

SE Washington, DC - Sunday was rained out but the Goodman faithful were treated to marathon of basketball games Monday in front of a standing room only crowd in the Barry Farms Coliseum to witness a double overtime thriller in the headliner game between The Roc Boys led by L Train, Easy E and Super Dave against a scrappy Madness team coached by Larry Madness, and Herb Francis.
