Written by Barry Barnes

Richmond, VA – Petersburg, Virginia, boyhood home of Hall of Famer Moses Malone and R&B superstar Trey Songz has developed into one of the finest high school basketball programs in the state over the last two years.   The Crimson Wave wiped out opponents on the way to a 21-0 record heading into the Group AAA finals against an upstart but scrappy Greyhounds squad. The end result was one of the most dramatic finishes in years.  For the Greyhounds of I.C. Norcom, tenacity, solid defense, scoring and rebounding down the stretch would ultimately prove the difference in victory.
