    ORLANDO - Virginia Tech junior cornerback Brandon Flowers picked up his second All-America honor Wednesday night, being named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation's second-team. The Delray Beach, Fla., native was named a first-team All-American by the AFCA last week.

Hokies to face Kansas in FedEx Orange Bowl

        BLACKSBURG - The No. 3 Virginia Tech Hokies (11-2), the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Champions, and No. 8 Kansas Jayhawks (11-1) will meet in the 74th Annual FedEx Orange Bowl to be played Jan. 3, 2008 at Dolphin Stadium.

Wheeler Suffers Torn ACL

    BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech starting tight end Sam Wheeler will miss the remainder of the 2007 football season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of his left knee in the first quarter of last night's win at Georgia Tech. Tech head athletic trainer Mike Goforth released the news.
