Summers Scores 16, No. 5 Georgetown Pulls Away from Fairfield, 61-49 |

Washington, D.C. – Sophomore forward DaJuan Summers (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh) scored a season-high 16 points and Georgetown held Fairfield to 16 second-half points en route to a 61-49 Hoya victory this afternoon at the Verizon Center. Shot selection and defense proved to be the key factors as GU shot almost 50 percent from the field while holding the Stags to only 34 percent.

Balanced Effort Leads No. 5 Georgetown Past Old Dominion, 66-48 |

Washington, D.C. – Senior center Roy Hibbert (Adelphi, Md./Georgetown Prep) scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and nine different players scored as No. 5 Georgetown used a decisive run at the start of the second half to pull away from Old Dominion for a 66-48 win in front of 8,424 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk. It was the fourth-straight win for the Hoyas, who improve to 4-0 overall, while the Monarchs fall to 3-4.

Georgetown’s Kyle Van Fleet Named Patriot League Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year |

Washington, D.C. – Georgetown University senior Kyle Van Fleet (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) was named the 2007 Patriot League Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year, it was announced on Wednesday by Patriot League Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich. The scholar-athlete of the year award is voted on by the Patriot League’s football sports information directors.
