Washington, D.C. – Georgetown senior preseason All-American Roy Hibbert (Adelphi, Md./Georgetown Prep) scored a game-high 23 points and added eight rebounds as the Hoyas used a late run in the second half to pull away from a pesky William & Mary squad in the season opener for both schools in front of 11,364 at Verizon Center Saturday afternoon.

Colgate Tops Georgetown in 2007 Regular Season Finale |

Washington, D.C. – The Georgetown University football team lost on Senior Day this afternoon at Multi-Sport Field to Patriot League foe Colgate, 45-12. Senior kicker Eric Bjonerud (Potomac, Md./Georgetown Prep) knocked home two field goals and fellow classmate, running back Kyle Van Fleet (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) had a 16-yard touchdown run as the Hoyas were within five late in the first half. The Hoyas finished the season 1-10 overall, 1-5 in the Patriot League. The game ended with 1:17 to play after a scary injury to Colgate running back J.J. Bennett.
