Georgetown Football Rallies but Falls Short in Upset Bid as Hoyas Lose to No. 21 Yale, 28-14
       Washington, D.C. When it was all over, Georgetown University Head Football Coach Kevin Kelly said that he had a knot in his stomach. The knot came from the fact that his Hoya team had close so close to not only picking up their first win of the season, but to pulling off a win over the defending Ivy League Champions and a team ranked among the top-25 in the country.

Georgetown Football Readies for Defending Ivy League Champion Yale on Saturday at Home
      Washington, D.C. The Georgetown University plays its second-straight home game, and the first of three against Ivy League opponents this season, when the team hosts defending Ivy League Champion Yale at the Multi-Sport Field on Saturday, September 15. The Hoyas and the Bulldogs will kick off at 1 p.m. on the Hilltop.

Former Hoya Quarterback Bruce Simmons Revisits the Hilltop During Yale Week
    Washington, D.C. A 5 a.m. alarm is followed by breakfast, film and meetings at 6:15 and then practice at 7:30 a.m. That goes for two hours. There’s a chance to work out for an hour, but then there is a position coaches’ meeting for an hour followed by lunch. After lunch, there is a staff meeting at 1:30 p.m., and then practice plans for the next morning are set and scouting continues for that week’s opponent. The day ends well after dinner as the coaches make recruiting plans for next year’s class.
