Free Throws Decide The Game In Norfolk State’s Win Over Howard

Washington, DC-March 3—Corey Lyons knocked down a three-point basket and Michael DeLoach converted the game-winning free throws to lift Norfolk State University to a 54-52 win over Howard University in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men’s game at Burr Gymnasium.  The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Spartans (15-13 overall, 11-4 in the MEAC) while the Bison (6-24 overall, 3-12 in the MEAC) had their one-game win streak stopped.

Strong Second Half Propels Howard To Win Over Norfolk State

Washington, DC—March 3---Reyna Gross, Tamaya Daniels and Asha Santee combined to score 41 of their team’s 50 second half points as Howard University came from behind to defeat Norfolk State University, 93-84 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference women’s game at Burr Gymnasium.  The win snapped a four-game losing skid for Howard (4-24 overall, 3-12 in the MEAC).
