Hollis Scores 19 in A-10 Tournament First Round Defeat

DAYTON, OH -- In what was likely his final college game, George Washington senior Damian Hollis went out with a flourish by leading the 10th-seeded Colonials with a game-high 19 points and six rebounds but it wasn't enough as 7th-seeded Dayton ousted the Colonials from the A-10 Tournament, 70-60, in a first-round game Tuesday at UD Arena.

Bynes' 11 Second-Half Points Spurs Colonials

WASHINGTON, DC -- George Washington freshman Bryan Bynes scored all of his 11 points in the second half andAaron Ware contributed 13 points and a career-high eight rebounds to lift the Colonials past Charlotte, 75-70, Saturday in an Atlantic 10 game at Charles E. Smith Center.

Freshman Guard Scored Career-High 25 Points at No. 25 Richmond

WASHINGTON, DC -- For the third time this season, George Washington's Lasan Kromah has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference co-Rookie of the Week for men's basketball, the league office announced Sunday. Kromah also won the A-10 weekly honor after the season's first week on Nov. 22 and again on Jan. 10. He shares this week's Rookie honor with Rhode Island's Akeem Richmond.

Senior Tom Zebroski goes 2-5 with a stolen base in 2010 debut

 

WASHINGTON — The George Washington University baseball team opened 2010 on Friday afternoon in Chapel Hill, NC by dropping a 6-5 decision in 10 innings to North Carolina.  The Colonials had one-run leads in the ninth and tenth innings, but were unable to convert either save opportunity in the defeat.

Colonials Dominate the Boards, 55-34, in Key A-10 Victory

WASHINGTON, DC -- George Washington freshman Lasan Kromah sank three second-half three-pointers en route to a game-high 22 points to lift the Colonials past visiting Massachusetts, 66-60, in a key Atlantic 10 game Wednesday night at Charles E. Smith Center. The victory allowed GW to supplant the Minutemen in the A-10 standings as the teams jockey for postseason seeding position entering the final two weeks of the regular season.
