WASHINGTON, DC – Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that forward Caron Butler will miss the 2008 NBA All-Star game due to a left hip flexor strain. Including tonight’s contest against the Los Angeles Clippers, Butler has missed the last five games.

* Tonights game marks the first of two meetings between the Wizards and Clippers this season. Washington and LA will conclude their season-series in DC on March 15.
* The Wizards are looking to snap a three-game losing streak to the Clippers in LA, having lost their lone visit to the Clippers in each of the last three seasons. Washington last won in LA vs. the Clippers on March 25, 2004.
