The DC area high school football playoffs begin in earnest this weekend. For some schools around the area this has been a topsy-turvy year as Gwynn Park and Friendly in PG County, MD both missed postseason berths because of forfeits for ineligible players.
Friendly and Gwynn Park's loss is a gain to schools like 1A Forestville who play Dunbar of Baltimore this Saturday.

ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals left wing Donald Brashear will host a question-and-answer session and sign autographs for fans at ESPN Zone on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 6-7 p.m. Brashear, who is in his 16th season of professional hockey, has appeared in each of the Capitals 18 games this season, posting 30 penalty minutes.
