Cavalier volunteer coach makes third Olympic Games team
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Virginia volunteer assistant coach Adam Nelson has earned his third appearance on the Team USA roster for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, by taking third in the final round of the shot put at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., this weekend.

The Washington Nationals tonight announced they expect to select the contract of 22 year-old right-handed pitching prospect Collin Balester to start Tuesday’s contest at Florida . Balester is slated to have his contract selected from Columbus of the Triple-A International League to make his big league debut. Nationals Senior Vice President and General Manager Jim Bowden made the announcement.

The Washington Nationals tonight placed center fielder Lastings Milledge on the 15-Day Disabled List with a right groin injury and recalled outfielder Rogeravin (Roger) Bernadina from Harrisburg of the Double-A Eastern League. Nationals Senior Vice President and General Manager Jim Bowden made the announcement.
