VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Nov. 9, 2008 – Senior Lauren Walls’ (Berlin, N.J./Eastern Regional) second-half goal lifted top-seeded James Madison to a 1-0 win over third-seeded Old Dominion to capture JMU’s third straight Colonial Athletic Association field hockey championship on Sunday afternoon at the U.S. National Training Center.

Ragukas selected to conference all-tournament team
DURHAM, N.C. – Virginia’s Paige Selenski (Shavertown, Pa.) was named the 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference field hockey Freshman of the Year, the league office announced Sunday following the championship game of the conference tournament. She is just the third player in program history to receive the honor and is the first since Meredith Elwell in 1996.
