Washington Capitals defensemen Tom Poti sat patiently at a table in the Acela Club at Verizon Center Tuesday afternoon during Capitals media day. He picked at a plate of roast turkey while taking questions from local media members. It was just another step in the former New York Islanders transition to his new surroundings.

Shaw Middle School is looking for hard working individuals to help build their football program to the class of the DCIAA. Along with a defensive coordinator who knows the game, they're looking for position coaches for running backs, offensive and defensive lines, receivers, and defensive backs.

TREE ROLLINS NAMED MYSTICS HEAD COACH |

Washington, D.C. – Washington Mystics General Manager Linda Hargrove announced today that Wayne “Tree” Rollins has been named the team’s Head Coach. Rollins was named the Interim Head Coach on June 1, 2007 and led the team to a 15-14 record. Per company policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
