I really want to get out of the sports prediction business. How many times in the history of sports do we see an overwhelmingly, seemingly unbeatable Goliath get defeated by a seemingly overmatched and hopeless David?
Remember the Jets-Colts?, Foreman-Ali? UNLV-Duke? Tyson-Douglas? I just fell into the New England can't lose trap. I honestly didn't believe the Giants because they're weren't dominant like the Patriots. New England seemed destined for immortality plus I grew to dislike the 72 Dolphins. I wanted New England to erase them off the books.
When the Giants beat Tampa, I wasn't the least bit impressed. When they beat Dallas I was happy as h_ll but still not completely sold. When the Giants defeated Green Bay in the frozen tundra, I thought it was Favre's fault. Well folks the G-Men have beaten Brady and Belichick straight up on the big stage so I'm sold.
Did you see sourpuss Belichick after the game? He didn't want to wait until after the game was over. I know this one hurt for him. This team was prepared to be crowned the greatest ever. They were 18-0 and on the cusp of making history.
To be honest with you, yea ,the season was a bust with this lost to the Giants. Hey I gotta call it like it is. The Giants lost what, six games? This undefeated season stuff is overrated anyway. What matters most is the CROWN MAN!!! GIVE ME THE CROWN!!
The ratings for this years Super Bowl are off the charts. Numbers show this is was highest rated Super Bowl in history. In the fourth quarter, it was estimated that 105 million people were watching the game.
Most of America probably wanted the Patriots to reach perfection, but America also loves an underdog. Hats off the Giants!
