"Hurricane" Forest Godwin, resident sports editor at DCMetrosports.com was courtside at the Hoyas-St. Johns game last week and here were some of his observations on the game.

"Anthony Mason Jr. is the truth. He has gone unnoticed since he plays
for St. Johns, but he could be looking at a solid career in the NBA if he
can impress scouts. The Junior could consider making the jump early.

St. Johns is a young team. They have 7 freshman, 3 of whom start.
Justin Burrell..the young man from the Bronx is a raw talent. Keep an eye on him.

Roy Hibbert's toughness has been questioned. While he may not be the
agressor in most situations, but he will not allow anyone to abuse him
on the floor. In Wednesdays game against St. Johns, the play on the floor
was very physical. In any  conference other than the rough and tumble Big
East, there would have been fouls call nearly everytime down the floor.
Hibbert made it know that he was not a pushover. NBA scouts have
wondered aloud if Hibbert would be able to deal with a more physical NBA. He
deals with the most physical college basketball conference every night. And
has excelled in the past four years. He may just make it in the NBA.
Another "soft" seven footer in the NBA has 4 titles. You may have heard of
him...Tim Duncan.

While onto the NBA, could Caron Butlers injury be career threatening?
There may be some whispers...stay tuned."
