The 2002 national champions are in danger of missing the dance if they don't redeem themselves in the ACC Tournament. Besides the usual suspects Duke and North Carolina, it's not like the competition is an excuse to weasel in this year.If the Terps don't make up ground in a hurry, they won't make it. The tournament selection committee wants to give the ACC the benefit of the doubt but it's becoming apparent that other teams across the country are just as worthy. The Terps may not crack 20 wins this year.
Virginia Tech is another team that's fighting to get an invite to the dance but didn't help themselves losing to a solid tournament lock Clemson team today.
I believe the ACC will send five (Duke, UNC, Clemson, Miami, and ?). I have to believe that the Hokies have the upper hand because of their record in the conference.
