Washington, D.C.  ─  Georgetown University Head Football Coach Kevin Kelly will be one of three coaches featured on the national Division I-AA football talk show, I-AA WAVES.  The show is a production from the news service, I-AA.org.

I-AA WAVES is hosted by Ralph Wallace of I-AA.org and regularly features analysts David Coulson (I-AA.org) and Matt Dougherty of The Sports Network, who lend an earful and insight into the NCAA’s top football championship tier.

I-AA Waves can be heard live on Tuesday night, May 9, beginning at 9 p.m. ET.  Fans interested in listening to Kelly’s interview live can visit www.I-AA.org, or visit the site at a later time for the archived version.

Wallace and Kelly will talk for about 20 to 25 minutes during the show.  The interview will focus on Kelly’s coaching background prior to his arrival at Georgetown in January, as well as his first practices with the team during the spring and the hopes for the upcoming 2006 season in the Patriot League.

Other coaches interviewed on the show include Idaho State Head Coach Larry Lewis and David Bennett of Coastal Carolina.  The show’s “Legendary Coaches of I-AA” series spotlights College Football Hall of Fame’s Harold “Tubby” Raymond of the University of Delaware.

Kelly was named head coach at Georgetown in January after successful stints as an assistant at Navy, Marshall, Syracuse and Tulane.  He named his full coaching staff in February and the team went through two weeks of practice before concluding with an intra-squad scrimmage on April 8.

Georgetown opens practice for the 2006 season on August 9.  The team kicks off the regular season on Saturday, September 2, hosting Holy Cross at the Multi-Sport Field.
