The Wiz and Celts game was big.  It is close to the playoffs and the Wizards were working to get a good seed.  You could tell it was a big game with serious implications because most of the fans arrived on time.   

       
     When ESPN televises a game, all the big shots come out.  Some big shots are stuck up and some are not.  My idol, Michael Wilbon, is a cool cat.  Wilbon is very approachable and easy to talk to.  Everybody wants to talk to Wilbon, he is like a rock star.  If Wilbon said kiss my ring, people would do it.  In the Wizards’ locker room, the media jumps into the face of an athlete when the player is ready.  Wilbon approached Jamison and the reporters parted like the red sea.  It was amazing because the reporters don’t move for nobody.  The reporters want their recorders to be close to the athlete’s mouth as possible.

       
      After the game, most of the media went straight to the Celtics’ locker room.  Kevin Garnett was in town and media wanted to talk to him.  Since the Celtics lost, I said to myself that Garnett was not going to talk because most stars don’t want to talk to the media after a lost.  Like I figured, Garnett was not available. 

           
  I was surprised at the fact that the stars of the NBA don’t make themselves available for questions, especially after a lost.  Now, the athletes do not have to talk to the media.  At times, I can see why because sometimes reporters can ask stupid questions.  The athletes have slick ways to avoid the media.  The athletes stay in the shower longer or go lift weights.  The athletes will come out, but you would have to wait along time.

         
    I was tying to catch Sam Cassell because we grew up in the same neighborhood.  Sam was happy to see me and to see another person from “around-the-way” make it out.  A story about that is coming.

        
     Glen Davis of the Celtics, Big Baby, asked me how to get to the bus.  With a good guess I said through those doors.

         
   The Wizards was pumped.  A statement was made that the Wizards are coming.  Gilbert is back and everybody is playing well.  It was a big win for the Wizards, but it’s about finishing the season out right.
