 Washington went undefeated in preseason games for the 2008 campaign.  The Mystics defeated the Sacramento Monarchs 90-82, New York Liberty 58-52 and the Houston Comets 72-66.

“We are anxious to get the season started,” said General Manager, Linda Hargrove. “We feel that we have a great mix of veterans and young talented players and expect to improve as the season goes on.”

The Washington Mystics will tip off the 2008 season on Saturday, May 17^th, on the road against the Indiana Fever. Washington will host the club’s home opener on Sunday, May 25^th, against the four-time WNBA Champion Houston Comets at 4:00 p.m.  Individual tickets are currently on sale on www.ticketmaster.com.
