WASHINGTON, D.C. - Howard University head volleyball coach Orlando Larracuente announced that Grace DiMichelis has signed a National Letter of Intent and will arrive at the Mecca in the fall of 2008. She is the fourth volleyball player to sign as part of the class of 2012.
"I am very happy about getting Grace on board," Larracuente said. "She is not only an outstanding setter but also a tremendous athlete with great volleyball instincts."
DiMichelis, a setter from Overland High School in Aurora, Colo., was a two-time Centennial League first-team selection. Her solid understanding of the game and ability to read defenses will help her at the Division I level. A three-sport athlete in high school, DiMichelis should contribute immensely to the Lady Bison, along with the Howard community.
"Grace's ball control skills are outstanding and she will help us address another area of concern as well, the floor game," Larracuente added. "I look forward to Grace developing into a top notch setter in our conference."
