Heat draft pick Mike Beasley scored 28 points in his NBA summer league debut on 9 of 21 shooting from the field in Orlando. His performance helped lift his team over the Chicago Bulls and the No. 1 pick Derrick Rose. Beasley was quoted in the USA Today about the game saying, "I could have played better." Beasley had nine rebounds.
Beasley's 28 point output was the ninth highest scoring performance in Orlando summer league history.
