Cavalier Sophomore Repeats Honors
GREENSBORO, N.C. Virginia sophomore women's golfer Whitney Neuhauser (Barboursville, Va.) has been named to the 2008 All-ACC Academic Team as announced today by Commissioner John D. Swofford.
In 2007-08 Neuhauser was a sophomore who majored in foreign affairs. She competed in nine tournaments and posted a 77.54 stroke average for theCavaliers. She was UVa's top finisher at the Bryan National Collegiate and was the Cavaliers¹ number-two finisher at the NCAA East Regional where she equaled her best single-round score of her career.
Neuhauser was one of 11 repeat honorees from the 2007 All-ACC Academic team.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
ACC Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year was Amanda Blumenherst of Duke.
