Landover Md - Andrew 'The Sponge Bob" Washington took home the hardware as the 2008 Goodman League's regular season most valuable player and his team, Shooters, was awarded the championship trophy at Lavar Arrington's The Sideline last night.
The Sponge Bob averaged over 25 points per game and helped power his team to the first undefeated record in Goodman League history.
Sponge Bob Washington's thoughts on his MVP selection, "I feel honored to get this award. It was a team effort and I give thanks to them as well."
Washington's teammate former Maryland Terrapins standout Byron Mouton was named playoff MVP.

Goodman League Newcomer of the year: Ryan Hughes (Hoodwear All Stars)
Rebounding Champion: Melvin "Tikini Sports" (Shooters)
Defensive Player of the year: Justin Franks
Sportsmanship Award: Lawrence "Poetry In Motion" Moten (Drama Detailing)
Most Improved Player : Kamal ( 3rd Eye)
Scoring Champ: Kevin Durant (SweatMob/All Daz)
Coach of the year: Coach B. (Young Guns)
