Mountaineers Fall in First BIG EAST Match |

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (September 27, 2008)- The West Virginia University volleyball (5-7,0-1) team fell to Seton Hall (7-7,1-0) in its first BIG EAST match of the season this afternoon at Walsh Gym in South Orange, N.J.
The Pirates defeated the Mountaineers in a 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-14) match.
Despite the loss, senior middle blocker Tammy Wolf led the Mountaineers in kills with nine. Freshman outside hitter Kylie Armbruster followed with eight kills and 10 digs, while sophomore libero Bonnie West also posted 10 digs.
Freshman setter Kari Post led the team in assists with 27, giving her 152 total in just four games.
The Mountaineers will close out the weekend with a 2 p.m. match against BIG EAST foe Villanova on Sunday, Sept. 28.
