BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech cornerback Roland Minor will miss a minimum of six to eight weeks, according to head athletic trainer Mike Goforth, for a wrist injury and a knee injury sustained in a car wreck in his hometown of Washington, D.C., earlier this week.
Minor, a redshirt junior from D.C., will undergo surgery to repair his wrist this afternoon at Montgomery Regional Hospital. The surgery will be performed by Orthopaedic Team Physician Marc Siegel.
Minor started all but one game for the Hokies in 2005, recording 33 tackles and three interceptions, returning one of them 23 yards for a touchdown against Duke. |
