Washington Wizards forward Antawn Jamison was selected to the United States' 12-man roster for the World Basketball World Championships. He shares his thoughts on playing for the Red, White, and Blue.

On the announcement of the USA Basketball World Championship roster:
"This is what we’ve been working for since training camp started in Vegas.  For me, it is a great opportunity to represent my country and I’m definitely thrilled to be going through this journey and this process.  We can really make history as far as being the team that brought some respectability back to USA Basketball and put us back on the map.  It’s a great opportunity and I’m definitely excited to get started."

On the goal of the team:

"We have some of the best players in the world and we all assembled together to accomplish one goal.  To play against these guys and now to play with these guys has been a great experience -- and everything I expected thus far has been fulfilled -- but now we have to get the job done and bring home the gold.  We want to win the World Championship, and I want to enjoy it with these guys."

On the experience thus far:

"It’s been unbelievable.  It’s been fun to not only deal with these guys on the court but the different personalities off the court -- and to go out there and be dominant in the way we have been is definitely fun and something I haven’t experienced in a while.  As a kid you always dream about playing against and playing with the best players in the league, and I’m fortunate now to be playing with some of the best players in the world.  It’s been fun to go out there and go through the process and have fun with it.  It has been a joy, it’s been going smooth, and I’m enjoying it."
