MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– Freshman Justin Pentz has been selected as the West Virginia University Student-Athlete of the Week after matching a school record and establishing three personal bests during the rifle team’s 2-0 weekend in West Point, N.Y.
The Dubois, Pa., native opened the weekend with a personal best smallbore mark of 578 in WVU’s 4659-4616 victory over defending GARC champion Army on Oct. 18.
Pentz proved his prowess even more in the 4655-4565 win over Ole Miss the following day, matching a day-old aggregate school record (1171) with personal bests in smallbore (584) and air rifle (587).
Through four matches, Pentz averages 582.5 in air rifle and 576.0 in smallbore for a combined 1158.5 average.

Wrestling Family Comes Together
The Mike Wojcik Benefit, held on Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. was a hit. More than 60 kids from various age ranges attended the free wrestling clinic.
