Coach Karl Hobbs to Field Questions Following Workout
WASHINGTON, DC — The George Washington men’s basketball team will open the doors to Charles E. Smith Center on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 5-6 p.m. for students and fans who wish to get a sneak peek at the Colonials. Coach Karl Hobbs will participate in a question-and-answer session following the workout. Admission
Head coach Karl Hobbs begins his eighth season in Foggy Bottom when the Colonials open the season on the road at Boston University Nov. 14. The home opener takes place on Nov. 19 against Binghamton. GW also faces Maryland Dec. 7 in the 14th Annual BB&T Classic at the Verizon Center. GW’s lone preseason exhibition game will take place Nov. 8 at 2:00 p.m. against West Georgia.
The Colonials return All-Conference forward senior Rob Diggs (Brandywine, MD/Gywnn Park H.S.) and Wynton Witherspoon (Duluth, GA/Berkmar/Virginia Tech) along with junior F Damian Hollis (Ft. Lauderdale, FL/J.P. Taravella) and three highly-touted freshmen.
