Kenner League Rosters Set for 2007 Season

Washington, D.C.  –  The summer has started and soon after the Georgetown men’s basketball coaching staff finishes hosting its annual camp this week, members of the 2007-08 Hoya squad will take to the McDonough Arena floor for the annual Kenner League. 

     The Nike “Jabbo” Kenner League is among the premier summer college basketball leagues in the country and is annually held at McDonough Arena on the Georgetown campus.    

        Sophomore DaJuan Summers (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh) will be on the Myers/Alterman squad.

 
     The Clyde’s team will feature senior forward Patrick Ewing, Jr. (Marietta, Ga./National Christian Academy [Md.]), sophomore Jeremiah Rivers (Orlando, Fla./Winter Park) and freshmen Austin Freeman (Hyattsville, Md./DeMatha) and Omar Wattad (Johnson City, Tenn./Science Hill).  

    Senior guard Jonathan Wallace (Harvest, Ala./Sparkman) will play on the Tombs squad once again, leading sophomore Vernon Macklin (Portsmouth, Va./Hargrave Military Academy) and freshmen Nikita Mescheriakov (Frederick, Md./St. John’s Prep [Md.]) and Chris Wright (Washington, D.C./St. John’s College).
 

     Senior Tyler Crawford (Staunton, Va./Robert E. Lee) and junior Jessie Sapp (New York, N.Y./National Christian Academy [Md.]) will play for Electro-Lite.
 

      This year’s college games are slated to begin on Sunday, July 1. Admission is free and games are open to the public.  Sunday’s first games include Meyers & Alterman against the Colonials at 2:15 p.m.; Clyde’s against Electro-Lite at 3:30 p.m. and the Bulldogs against the Bears at 4:45 p.m.
