Chris Clark to Visit Arlington School Sept. 27 to Launch Caps Kids Club |

ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals captain Chris Clark will visit Ashlawn Elementary School in Arlington, Va., on Thursday, Sept. 27, to launch the team’s new Kids Club. Caps Kids Club is a chance for the Capitals’ youngest fans to become part of the team, with a special membership kit and events throughout the year.
Clark and Comcast SportsNet’s Joe Beninati will visit Ashlawn at 2 p.m. for a school-wide assembly, where the Capitals’ captain will speak to the students about the importance of discipline and education. Beginning at 2:30 p.m. Clark will visit third- and fourth-grade classrooms to distribute free Kids Club membership kits.
Capitals fans have the opportunity to sign up for Caps Kids Club on Saturday, Sept. 29, which is Kids Day at Capitals Training Camp at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington. Kids Day will feature a youth hockey skills challenge, interactive games, face painters and caricature artists and a kids-only autograph session featuring Capitals stars including Alex Ovechkin. Capitals practice is slated for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Saturday will be the first opportunity for the general public to register for the Caps Kids Club. Caps Kids Club memberships are $15 and include:
- One ticket to both the Dec. 8 and Feb. 24 games, plus special offers for additional tickets
- Special events during the year including autograph sessions
- Chris Clark wall banner
- Personalized membership card
- Activity book, pencil case and folder
- Exclusive game-day giveaways
- Kettler Capitals Iceplex skate pass and special merchandise/program offers
- Access to a Caps Kids Club website featuring games, player videos and more
Caps Kids Club is designed for children 14 years old and younger.
