BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech starting linebacker and leading tackler Vince Hall will undergo surgery for a broken left wrist Sunday evening at Montgomery Regional Hospital and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks, according to head athletic trainer Mike Goforth.
Hall broke the wrist in Saturday's game at Clemson, where he finished with a team-leading 11 tackles. The surgery will be performed at Montgomery Regional Hospital, where a plate will be inserted to help stabilize the wrist.
Hall is fourth in the ACC in tackles per game and has 61 total this year. He has started the last 44 games and was approaching the school record for consecutive starts.
No decision has been made on his replacement in the starting lineup has been announced.
