WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sophomore Victor Thomas (Scarborough, Trinidad/Signal Hill) has been named the Atlantic Soccer Conference (ASC) Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. This is the second consecutive week that Thomas has received an ASC honor.
Thomas posted a shutout against the U.S. Naval Academy in the Bison's only game last week as Howard earned a tie in a 0-0 decision. The Trinidad native finished the contest with seven saves in 76:19 of action as the contest was ended early due to lightening. He has emerged as one of the top keepers in the ASC in the past month, allowing just 0.48 goals per game with a .913 save percentage in four starts.
Last week, Thomas earned another honor as he was named the ASC Goalie of the Week on October 8.
Howard returns home on Oct. 21 with a conference decision against Adelphi at 5pm.
