Georgetown led 27-26 after a jumper from Summers and held the Tribe scoreless for more than two minutes for a layup from Chris Darnell gave W&M a 28-27 lead. The Tribe would go through another scoreless string, hitting only one field goal in the final 4:58 of the half, and the Blue and Gray took advantage. A three-pointer from Sapp was followed by five points from Wallace as the Hoyas went into the break leading by five points, 35-30.
