Howard Announces Early Signing Of Top Prospect |

The Howard University men’s basketball program has signed Calvin Thompson to a national letter-of-intent. A 6-3, 185-pound guard from Helen Cox High School in Harvey, La, Thompson becomes one of the top prospects to sign with the Bison in recent years.
As a senior, Thompson is averaging 18.8 points, 7.0 assists and 3.0 steals for Helen Cox, which is ranked Number 7 in the country. Thompson plays on the same team with Greg Monroe, the Number 1 rated player in the country, who has signed with Georgetown University.
Thompson is ranked Number 230 in the class of 2008 and is considered a three-star recruit.
