Hardie Named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week |

WASHINGTON, D.C.-Rudolph Hardie has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts against Delaware State this past Saturday.
A 6-2, 270-pound senior defensive end from Hartford, CT, Hardie had one of his best games of the season, collecting 8 unassisted tackles, 6 assisted tackles , 2.5 tackles for losses, a sack and a forced fumble. Hardie holds the distinction of leading all players in tackles for losses in the nation with 25 and while also being ranked Number 4 in sacks with 11.
The former walk-on now has 45 tackles for losses and 21 sacks in the past 22 games. He was a first team All-MEAC selection in 2006 and a first team Sheridan Broadcasting Network (SBN) Black College All American. He is a strong candidate for MEAC Defensive Player of the Year honors as well as All American consideration.
