Greene Turtle to Host Public Weigh-In, Sponsor VIP Hospitality Room and Host Official After-Party
Fairfax, VA - Jimmy Lange Boxing officials are proud to announce that the Green Turtle Sports Bar & Grille / Fairfax of Old Town (3950 University Drive, Suite 209, Fairfax, VA 22030) has become an official sponsor of its October 27 event being held at the Patriot Center. The Greene Turtle, located minutes from George Mason University’s campus in Old Town Fairfax City, will sponsor three elements of the upcoming event:
Official Weigh-In - Friday, Oct. 26 at Noon (Open to Public)
All fans are invited to the Greene Turtle to watch as all fighters including Main Event headliners Jimmy Lange and Tony Jeter record their official weights, one day before the big event. Fans can stay and enjoy lunch.
Saturday, Oct. 27 - VIP Hospitality Room at 6pm (Private)
VIP guests will be treated to a catered spread from the Turtle featuring some of its most popular items such as its Famous Wings on fight night. This is a private event, available to guests with special credentials.
Saturday, Oct. 27 - Official After-Party (Open to Public)
Head to the Turtle to celebrate a great night of boxing at the Official After Party featuring Fine items from the Greene Turtle Catering Menu… The Turtle will be open until 2:00 am.
Jimmy Lange Boxing is the region’s premier pro boxing showcase returning to the Patriot Center on Saturday, Oct. 27. Hometown favorite/former Contender star Jimmy Lange will face Tony “Mo Better” Jeter in the Main Event. Jimmy Lange suffers training injury; June 23rd card postponed |

Jimmy Lange suffered a leg injury during training camp that is preventing him from training for his bout scheduled for June 23, 2012. As a result, Jimmy Lange Boxing officials announced that the June 23rd event at the Patriot Center has been postponed. Officials hope to return to the Patriot Center later this year. Ticketholders can receive a refund from their point of purchase with online purchases automatically refunded.

“I want to thank all of my fans for their past, present and continued support. I promise to be back in action at the Patriot Center as soon as my physical condition allows. This injury will not affect my performance when I return. Thank you again and I’ll see you in the fall.”

Fairfax, VA (May 1, 2012) – In a battle of world champions, undefeated Tori “Sho Nuff” Nelson (6-0-1) of Ashburn, VA will defend her Women’s International Boxing Association (WIBA) Middleweight Title against Maria Lindberg (6-1-2) of Malmo, Sweden as the 10-round Co-Main Event on the Jimmy Lange Boxing card set for Saturday, June 23 at the Patriot Center. Presented by Valcourt Building Services, the card will also feature undefeated Fairfax, VA junior welterweight Todd “White Lightning” Wilson (13-0, 4 KOs) going for his 14th straight victory with an eight-round contest against Winston Mathis (7-5-1, 2 KOs) of Atlanta, GA.

Michael Stewart vs. Joe Wyatt for WBU Welterweight Championship in Co-Main Event
Fairfax, Va. (December 15, 2011) – Jimmy Lange Boxing officials today announced a third world title fight on the February 11, 2012 card at the Patriot Center, a showdown between ring veterans Michael “No Joke” Stewart and Joe Wyatt. The ten-round co-main event will be for the vacant World Boxing Union (WBU) welterweight championship.
